What We Do

Since 2003, University in the Community has offered free, non-credit university–level courses in the liberal arts to people, who would not normally consider attending university.
In 2014, we are offering three courses:

One course takes place once a week in the evening at Innis College for ten weeks in the fall and the winter terms during the academic year.

One course is for alumni of the Innis course; it is a self-directed program where students attend events in the community one week and the following week discuss or write about the event. This course also takes place for ten weeks in the fall and winter terms during the academic year. The next course will begin in October of 2014.

One course takes place at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, once a week in the afternoons during the spring and the fall terms.

We draw upon the knowledge and expertise of professors and practitioners to facilitate our classes.
